Many people believe that God has predetermined some people to go to heaven and some to go to Hell, but this is not the case. The Bible clearly states in John 3:16 that because God so loved the world, He sent His son Jesus to die for our sins so that no one who believes in Him should perish. He explains that God has a plan of salvation that is available to anyone who is willing to accept Jesus Christ as their savior and that everyone has a witness in them of the existence of a creator. Dr. Blackstock emphasizes that God has not chosen the people of salvation but rather the plan of salvation. His elect are those who have accepted his plan of salvation.
