Will We Know Each Other in Heaven?
Dr. Charles Blackstock
Mar 8, 2013
This video by Dr. Charles Blackstock addresses the question of whether or not we will know each other in heaven. He explains that one of the unique aspects of Christianity is that God creates each individual with a unique soul that retains its individuality and identity forever. The idea of reincarnation and losing one's identity is not taught in the scriptures. When a person trusts in Jesus Christ as their savior, they receive eternal life. When their soul goes into eternity, they will retain their identity. The Bible teaches that we will be known in heaven. This is seen in glimpses of heaven, such as the Transfiguration and in the promise of 1 Corinthians 13:12, which states, "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."
